More moderation commands: clean-up, slowmode, roles, emojis

Delete messages, set slowmode, assign roles, manage emojis and change nicknames – the tools for everyday moderation.

Besides warnings, timeouts and bans (see Case files), yurna has commands for looking after your server day to day. These commands do not create cases.

Deleting messages with /clear#

/clear amount:<1–100> deletes the latest messages in the current channel. With the user option you only delete that member’s messages.

  • You need Manage Messages; in the channel yurna needs View Channel, Read Message History and Manage Messages.
  • Discord can’t bulk-delete messages older than 14 days. yurna then deletes them one by one – that takes a bit longer.

Slowmode with /slowmode#

/slowmode time:<duration> sets slowmode in the current channel. A plain number means seconds, otherwise use e.g. 10s, 5m or 1h. At most 6 hours; 0 turns slowmode off. Both you and yurna need Manage Channels in the channel.

Roles with /role#

  • /role add gives a member a role, /role remove takes it away – each with an optional reason.
  • /role info shows details about a role: ID, color, creation date, member count, position and whether it’s managed, displayed separately or mentionable.

For add and remove, both you and yurna need Manage Roles. The role must be below your highest role and below yurna’s.

Emojis with /emoji#

  • /emoji create adds an emoji – from a URL, an ID or a custom emoji, named after emoji_name.
  • /emoji delete deletes an emoji (name or ID).
  • /emoji info shows details about an emoji, /emoji list lists all of the server’s emojis.

For create and delete, both you and yurna need Manage Expressions.

Members with /member#

  • /member nickname set sets a nickname (at most 32 characters), /member nickname remove removes it. Both you and yurna need Manage Nicknames.
  • /member info shows details about a member.
  • /member avatar and /member banner show the avatar or banner – optionally the server avatar or server banner.

The badge commands /member badges are covered under Badges.
