Commands don't show up
Slash commands missing or replying "disabled"? Reload Discord, check integration permissions, default permissions and Modules & commands.
You type / and yurna's commands don't show up – or only some of them? Usually it's one of a handful of causes. Work through them in order.
1. Reload Discord#
Discord caches the command list. After inviting yurna or after a yurna update, a reload often does the trick: on desktop press Ctrl + R (Mac: Cmd + R); on mobile, close the app completely and open it again.
2. Integration permissions in Discord#
Discord can block commands for certain roles or channels.
- Open Server Settings → Integrations and select yurna.
- Check whether roles, members or channels are excluded there – for all commands or for individual ones.
- Also check that the affected members have the Discord permission "Use Application Commands" in that channel. If it's missing (for example because of a channel override for @everyone), they won't see any slash commands.
3. Commands with default permissions#
Some commands are only visible to members with certain permissions from the start. Anyone without the permission doesn't see the command. Examples:
| Command | Visible to |
|---|---|
/embed, /clear | Manage Messages |
/automod, /giveaway, /warn, /logs, /welcome, /leave, /emoji | Manage Server |
/timeout, /untimeout | Timeout Members (Moderate Members) |
/slowmode | Manage Channels |
/economy-settings, /xp-settings, /reset-xp, /statistics | Administrator |
You can change this for individual commands under Server Settings → Integrations → yurna.
4. yurna was invited without commands#
For slash commands, yurna needs the "applications.commands" scope when it's invited. The link in the dashboard and from /invite includes it. If yurna was invited through a different link in the past, invite it again – via "Add to your server" on yurna.info or the link from /invite. Your settings are kept.
5. Turned off in the dashboard#
Under Dashboard → Modules & commands → Commands (/dashboard/<server>/modules?reiter=befehle) you can turn off whole categories and individual commands. Those commands still appear in Discord, but reply with:
- "Command disabled – The command … is disabled in this server!" or
- "Command category disabled – The category … is disabled in this server!"
People who can manage the server also get a note that the command can be switched back on in the dashboard. Individual commands can only be toggled there while their category is enabled.
Other messages#
- "This command is not available (anymore)." Discord is still showing an old command. Reload Discord (step 1). Some commands were merged:
/diceis now/flip dice,/iqis/rate iq, and "let me GPT that" lives in/lmgtfy. - "This command is currently disabled." The operator has temporarily switched the command off for all servers, for example because of an outage.
- "This command can't be used in this channel." yurna commands work in every channel you can type in – including threads, forum posts and voice channel chats.
- A command is missing in DMs: Many commands (games, economy, moderation,
/poll,/timer) only exist on servers.
Tip
/help lists all commands; /help with a command or category name in query shows details such as usage and cooldown.
