Inviting yurna

How to add yurna to your Discord server and which permissions the bot needs.

SetupSecurity

yurna is a Discord bot with a dashboard at https://yurna.info. Before you can set anything up, yurna has to join your server. Anyone with the Manage Server permission on that server can invite it.

How to set it up#

  1. Open https://yurna.info/invite – or sign in to the dashboard and click Add yurna next to your server in the server list. That way the server is already preselected in Discord's dialog.
  2. In Discord, pick the server yurna should join.
  3. Keep the suggested permissions ticked and confirm with Authorize.
  4. Discord sends you back to the dashboard. The server now appears under Manage and opens with a single click.
  5. In Discord, run /permissions to check that yurna received every permission it needs.

Tip

If you're already in Discord, /invite gives you the same link. It also offers a link with the Administrator permission – we don't recommend it. yurna works fine with the individual permissions listed below.

Permissions yurna needs#

The invite link requests exactly these permissions. If one is missing, the related modules only work partially.

Common problems#

  • My server isn't in the list: Discord only lists servers where you have Manage Server. After a permission change, use Reload list in the server list.
  • yurna can't assign a role: In Discord, yurna's role has to sit above the roles it should assign or edit (Server Settings → Roles).
  • A module reports missing permissions: Run /permissions. Every ❌ is a permission yurna's role is missing. Channel overrides can also remove permissions in individual channels.
