Set up yurna with commands only

Step by step from the invite to a finished server – entirely in Discord, without the dashboard.

SetupCommands

You can set up yurna entirely in Discord. Every step here also works in the dashboard – both save the same settings, so you can switch at any time.

Tip

The quickest way is /yurna start: it shows the six basic modules, turns four of them on with one click using a recommendation, and tells you at every step what to do next.

Before you start#

  • You need Manage Server (or Administrator) on the server. Without it, Discord does not show the setup commands.
  • Every setup command replies only to you and then shows a Next step plus the buttons How it works (these docs) and Dashboard.
  • Options you leave out stay unchanged. - in a text field clears it.
  • In a German Discord many commands have German names (e.g. /beitritt instead of /join) – the English names here work the same everywhere.

1. Invite and check permissions#

  1. Invite yurna with the link from /yurna invite or from the website.
  2. Check with /yurna permissions that yurna has every permission. Each ❌ is a permission yurna's role is missing.
  3. Set the language: /server language.

2. The basics with /yurna start#

Type /yurna start. You see Welcome, Automod, Logs, Levels & XP, Verification and Tickets with ✅ or ▫️.

  • Welcome, Automod, Logs, XP: one click on the button turns them on with a recommendation (logs go to a private #yurna-logs channel).
  • Verification and Tickets need your input – the card names the right command under Next step.

3. Welcome, rules and roles on join#

  3. /verify limits – minimum account age, attempts, time limit.
  4. /verify status – check it.

5. Protection and moderation#

  • /automod anti-invite enable, /automod anti-link enable, /automod anti-spam enable, /automod anti-mention enable – Discord AutoMod rules.
  • /automod filter settings and /automod filter word-add – your own bad-word filter.

Dashboard or commands?#

Both work, and both save the same settings. Commands are handy when you are in Discord anyway or want a quick change. The dashboard shows more at once and has editors that commands cannot offer: the flow editor, the card designer, image cropping and the connection to Etsy, BuiltByBit and TikTok. Every command links to the matching dashboard page for that.

Common questions#

I don't see the commands#

You are missing Manage Server, or your Discord has not reloaded the command list yet – restart Discord. More: Commands missing.

Can I switch to the dashboard later?#

Yes, any time. Everything you set up by command is already there.

Where do I find every option of a command?#

In the module's doc under By command – the How it works button under every reply goes straight there. A list of all commands: Commands overview.
