Moderation extras

Four small helpers for everyday moderation. You find them in the Case file under Settings.

In the dashboard#

1. Open Case file → Settings in the dashboard (/dashboard/<server>/fallakte?reiter=einstellungen).
2. Add your shortcuts under Reason shortcuts, pick channels and switches under Image channels & commands.
3. Under Punishments & points choose which actions send the member a DM.
4. Click Save in the bar at the bottom.

Reason shortcuts#

A shortcut stands for a whole reason, for example spam → “Spamming in multiple channels”.

• In /ban, /kick, /softban, /warn, /timeout and /note Discord suggests your shortcuts for the reason.
• If you only type the shortcut (or the shortcut as the first word), yurna replaces it when the command runs. This also works for prefix commands like y!ban @user spam and for the Warn and Timeout context menus.
• Up to 25 shortcuts per server. A shortcut is one word of letters, digits, - or _.

DM per action#

The DM on punishment switch is the main switch. Below it you choose separately whether the member gets a message for Ban (including temporary bans), Kick, Timeout, Warning and Softban. The DM is sent before a kick or ban, otherwise it would no longer arrive.

Image channels#

In image channels yurna deletes every message without an image, video, sticker or attachment. Links to images and videos (e.g. Tenor, Giphy, YouTube) count as media. Moderators (Manage Messages or Moderate Members) and bots are exempt.

With Show a short explanation yurna then writes one sentence into the channel that disappears after a few seconds – at most once every 30 seconds per member.

Delete mod commands#

When this switch is on, yurna deletes prefix commands by moderators (everything in the Moderation category, e.g. y!warn) after they run. yurna’s reply stays.

By command#

You set up the extras in the dashboard. They are used in /ban, /kick, /softban, /warn, /timeout and /note.

Common questions#

Why don’t I see suggestions? Add shortcuts first. If autocomplete is turned off, Discord shows nothing – replacing on execution still works.

Can I use a shortcut in the middle of a sentence? No, only as the whole reason or as the first word.
