Image workshop: emojis, stickers, GIFs and image templates
Turn images into server emojis and stickers, create animated GIFs and use 15 image templates – all right in Discord.
Quick look
This is how it looks in Discord – with sample data.
Images with a wink.
One command, one picture: yurna makes memes and image jokes right in the chat.
Interactive demo with sample data. Nothing is changed on a real server.
Call /ai with a wish. Step 1 of 3
The image workshop turns your images into server emojis and stickers, creates animated GIFs and bundles the image templates in one command. Everything runs right in Discord, without third-party services.
How to set it up#
- For emojis and stickers, you and yurna need the Manage Expressions permission.
- By default, Discord only shows
/emojito members with "Manage Server". You can change this under Server Settings → Integrations → yurna. - Upload the image directly as an attachment in the command – yurna only loads images from Discord (up to 8 MB).
Emojis and stickers#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/emoji image <image> <emoji_name> [remove_background] [round] | Turns an uploaded image (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP) into a server emoji |
/emoji sticker <image> <name> <emoji> [remove_background] | Turns an image (PNG, JPG, WebP) into a server sticker |
- remove_background removes a single-colour background – ideal for logos, drawings and screenshots on a light or plain background. Photos with a busy background stay as they are.
- rund crops the emoji into a circle.
- An animated GIF stays animated and becomes an animated emoji.
- The emoji name must be 2–32 characters long and may only contain letters, digits and
_. The sticker name must be 2–30 characters long, and you add a matching emoji (e.g. 😄).
Animated GIFs#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/gif text <text> [style] [emoji_name] | Animated text (up to 24 characters) in the style Rainbow, Sparkle or Wiggle |
/gif avatar [user] [effect] [emoji_name] | Avatar with an effect: Spin, Wiggle, Pulse or Rainbow (empty = your avatar) |
/gif slideshow <image1> <image2> [image3] [image4] [seconds] | Slideshow of 2–4 images, 1–5 seconds per image (default 2) |
If you add an emoji_name to /gif text or /gif avatar, yurna saves the GIF straight away as an animated server emoji. For this too, you and yurna need "Manage Expressions".
Image templates#
/meme-maker <template> bundles 15 image templates in one command: achievement, bangladesh, change-my-mind, dog-say, fbi, galaxy-note, iq-graph, jail, note, ph-comment, sonic-says, trash, trigger, type-c and yt-comment – for example /meme-maker fbi or /meme-maker jail. Discord shows each template's options while you type.
Common problems#
- “You need the Manage Expressions permission” or “I need the Manage Expressions permission”: give yourself or yurna the Manage Expressions permission.
- “I couldn’t load the image”. Upload the image directly in the command (up to 8 MB). Links to other sites don't work.
- “Even downscaled, the image is too large for Discord”. Emojis can be at most 256 KB. Use a simpler image or a shorter GIF.
- The emoji couldn't be created. Often all of the server's emoji slots are taken, or the name is already in use.
- The sticker couldn't be created. Check that there are free sticker slots left.
