Games

The game commands let you play against yurna right in the chat: Rock, Paper, Scissors, Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman, Number Guess, Wordle and trivia questions. Each game runs on buttons inside a single message. yurna keeps track of wins, losses and draws per server – /gamestats shows your record.

How to start a game#

1. Type the game command, for example /tictactoe.
2. yurna replies with a game message and buttons.
3. Only the person who started the game can click. Everyone else gets a private notice that it isn't their game.
4. When the game ends, yurna adds the result to your game stats.

There's nothing to set up. If you don't want games, turn off the Games category or individual games under Dashboard → Modules & commands → Commands.

Commands#

The games in detail#

Rock, Paper, Scissors#

Pick rock, paper or scissors with a button; yurna picks at random. You have 30 seconds, otherwise the game expires.

Tic-Tac-Toe#

You place the crosses, yurna places the circles. yurna doesn't play blindly: it takes its own winning moves and blocks yours when you're one away from three in a row. You have 2 minutes for the whole game.

Hangman#

yurna picks a German word. You choose the letters A to T with buttons and U to Z from the select menu below them. After 6 mistakes you lose. Time limit: 3 minutes.

Number Guess#

yurna picks a number between 1 and 100 and you get 8 guesses. The buttons show numbers from the range that's still possible; after each guess you're told "Higher!" or "Lower!" and the range narrows. Time limit: 2 minutes.

Wordle#

Guess a German 5-letter word in 6 tries. The "guess word" button opens an input form; umlauts are allowed. After each try you see the result: green = right letter in the right spot, yellow = the letter is in the word but elsewhere, black = not in the word. "Give up" ends the game and counts as a loss. You have 5 minutes in total and 1 minute per input form.

Trivia#

yurna asks a trivia question with four answers in your Discord language (German or English). You have 20 seconds. Afterwards yurna tells you whether you were right and otherwise shows the correct answer.

Game stats#

/gamestats shows wins, losses, draws and win rate for each game, plus an overall record. Use game to filter by one game (Rock, Paper, Scissors · Tic-Tac-Toe · Trivia · Hangman · Number Guess · Wordle). Stats are kept per server – on another server you start from zero. Bots don't have stats.

Common problems#

• "Time's up": Every game has a time limit (see above). Just start a new one.
• Games can't be started in DMs: The games are meant for servers. Only results on a server end up in your stats.
• "Slow down!": There's a short cooldown between games (5 seconds; 3 seconds for /rps and /gamestats).
