Message templates
Design a message once and reuse it in welcome, auto responder, ban/boost and the message builder.
With templates you design a message once and load it again in other editors – for example the same embed style for welcome and boost.
In the dashboard#
Below the message editors there are two buttons:
- Save as template – enter a name, Save. If the name already exists, the template is overwritten.
- Load template – pick a template and click Use. You can also remove templates here.
The buttons are available in:
| Editor | What is saved or loaded |
|---|---|
| Welcome & goodbye | Title and text (as an embed) |
| Auto responder | Text and embeds |
| Ban and boost message | Text and embeds |
| Message builder | Text, embeds and buttons |
Whatever an editor cannot do is left out when loading – buttons, for example, only exist in the message builder. A template does not store role pings; they belong to the single message.
Premium
New moon: 5 templates, half moon: 25, full moon: 100.
By command#
You manage templates in the dashboard only.
Common questions#
Does a message change when I overwrite the template? No. Loading copies – afterwards message and template are independent.
Are templates the same as the saved messages in the message builder? No. yurna sends saved messages to a channel and can update them later. Templates are just building blocks for the editors.
