Game Deals: Steam offers in a channel
yurna posts Steam discounts and free games in a channel of your choice – including games you track yourself.
SetupDashboardMessagesAutomation
With Game Deals, yurna posts offers from the Steam store to a channel: discounted games, games that are currently free and price changes for games you track. yurna checks the German Steam store with prices in euros, roughly every 15 minutes. The feature is free.
How to set it up#
- Open Dashboard → Automations → Game Deals (
/dashboard/<server>/game-deals). - Turn on the Game Deals module.
- Pick the Notification channel. yurna needs permission to send messages and embed links there.
- Under Discount thresholds, choose which offers get posted.
- Optional: search for games under Tracked games and click Track.
- Click Save settings.
What gets posted#
- Current Steam specials: yurna checks the Steam store's specials list. If an offer matches your thresholds, it is posted as a “New Steam deal” with discount, price and image – each game only once.
- Tracked games: If the discount or price of a tracked game changes and the new discount matches your thresholds, yurna posts an “update for a tracked game” with the old and new price. The same combination of discount and price is never posted twice.
Settings#
- Notify for 50% discounts – posts discounts from 50 to 79%.
- Notify for 80% discounts – posts discounts from 80 to 99%.
- Notify for 100% (free) deals – posts games that are currently free. This switch is on by default.
- Custom minimum discount (%) – applies to discounts below 50%, for example 30 if you'd like to hear about deals from 30% on. Leave it empty if you only want the fixed thresholds.
- Tracked games – your own watch list. Each game has its own switch to pause notifications without removing it. Remove takes it off the list.
Note
Each switch only covers its own range. To see everything from 50% on, turn on 50%, 80% and 100%. Only free games? Then leave just 100% on.
Tips#
- A dedicated channel such as
#game-dealskeeps your main chat calm – depending on your thresholds, the Steam specials can add up. - Messages use the bot language set for your server (see Language).
Common problems#
- Nothing shows up: Is the module enabled, a channel selected and at least one threshold active? Can yurna write in that channel?
- A tracked game never posts: yurna only posts when the discount or price changes, and only if the new discount matches your thresholds.
- Search can't find a game: The search uses the German Steam store; some titles aren't available there.
