Change log: who changed what?

The change log shows every change made in the dashboard with time and person – with filters, before/after and export.

DashboardSecurityAnalytics

When several people manage your server, you want to be able to see who changed what. That's what the Change log is for, under Dashboard → Insights → Change log (/dashboard/<server>/dashboard-logs).

It records changes made through the yurna dashboard and some bot actions – for example:

  • commands and command categories turned on or off
  • embed color, public dashboard and vanity link changed
  • event logs, welcome and goodbye messages adjusted
  • giveaways created, edited, paused, resumed, ended or deleted
  • reaction roles and reputation changed
  • warnings created, changed or deleted

Note

The change log shows what was changed in yurna. What happens on your Discord server itself – messages, joins, role changes – is in the server log.

How to use it#

  1. Open Dashboard → Insights → Change log. The tabs at the top switch between Server log, Change log and Event logs.
  2. Entries are grouped by day, newest first. Older ones load as you scroll down.
  3. Click an entry to see the details: who did it, what was changed and – if stored – a before/after.
  4. Export downloads the current selection as a spreadsheet (CSV) or as JSON.

Filters#

  • Search – searches the text of the changes.
  • Person – name or Discord ID of the person who made the change. From an entry's details you can filter by that person directly.
  • Event – only one kind of change, such as “Giveaway created” or “Command off”.
  • From / To – a time range.

Reset filters shows everything again.

Who can see it?#

Like every dashboard page of a server, the change log is only visible to members with “Manage Server” or Administrator permission in Discord.

Tips#

  • Something suddenly works differently? Filter by the matching event and look at the before/after – you'll quickly see which setting was changed and when.
  • Older entries sometimes have no before/after. They then say “No before/after was stored for this entry”.
